Sara Scott

Sara Scott started at the Citizen Patriot as a reporter in 1994. She has covered police, education and city government. In 2000, Scott left to take a position in Booth Newspapers’ Capitol Bureau, covering state government and politics for eight Michigan dailies. In 2003, she returned to the Citizen Patriot as assistant metro editor. In 2009, she was promoted to associate editor, supervising local news, sports, features and photo. She has a bachelor’s in journalism from Eastern Michigan University. She and her husband, Eric, live in Summit Township with their daughter, Elizabeth.
