Cox Media Group Ohio’s Senior Vice President of News and Content, Harry Delaney, will be retiring at the end of 2010. Delaney has spent more than 40 years in the industry including overseeing TV stations in major, medium and small markets across the country.
Delaney currently oversees the news and content forces of the Dayton Daily News, WHIO Channel 7 and radio, WHKO and WZLR, and CMG Ohio’s community papers. Under his leadership, WHIO TV captured a national Edward R. Murrow award and was named the No. 1 CBS affiliate in the country in 2009. Until his retirement, Delaney will be leading CMG Ohio’s historic move into its new newsroom, with new radio studios and the market’s first HD television studio.
