Tim Kelley is digital media manager for madison.com in Madison, Wis. Previously, he was managing editor of the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison. He started in the news business as a teenager, stringing for the Adams County Times and Friendship Reporter in central Wisconsin. At the State Journal, Kelley covered local and state government, and he later worked as city editor and editorial page editor. Kelley received a journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Outside of the newspaper business, Kelley worked as assistant director of university communications at UW-Madison and deputy editor of a travel magazine in Singapore.
